Wanderlust

Outside India

Far-out destination
The Venetian, Macau. Cannot forget the night I spent there with loved ones!

Bon Vivant Moment
Was invited as a speaker at a prestigious Retail Conference held at Singapore in 2007; flew out First class and returned Business class on Singapore Airlines. Unforgettable.

On Nature's Trail
Jurong Birds Park at Singapore.

Emptied my pockets on
Mont Blanc (Platinum range) and Omega Seamaster. My two most expensive purchases ever!

Panoramic Views
Atop Mt. Titlis - 10,000 ft above sea level, the Swiss Alps. Breathtaking.

Out-of-body experience
Under water walking off Pattaya coast. Was amazed I could manage it with such hydrophobia!

Bazaar bargains
Electronic accessories at a small mall in Bangkok. Amazing bargains.

Gourmet gaffes
Ordered a Vegetarian platter in a sit-down dinner at Shanghai. Had to pretend I was enjoying although I couldn't have a single morsel.

Street food surprises
Tasted various varieties of fruits during a late-night stroll at Kuala Lumpur. Didn't know so many different varieties of fruits existed.

Goofy traveler moment
Was part of a guided tour in Zurich. Missed my bus at Lucerne; took a train and reached the destination myself. Although they were tense moments, explored the countryside myself.

Within India

Far-out destination
In 2007, Drove down my Santro from Bangalore to Goa, about 600 km in 12 hours;  and then explored the erstwhile Portugese colonies for a week.

Bon Vivant Moment
My first flight trip. It was for an interview to Mumbai in 2003 - flew up and down but still didn't take up the offer. Thankfully, I am where I am today!

On Nature's Trail
Nagarhole Tiger Resort. Spotted some tiger paws by the road side and viewed a few Tuskers - gigantic ones.

Emptied my pockets on
When we bought our second house! Went ballistic buying electronic goods and home furnishing...

Panoramic Views
Was driving across the Western Ghats to a place called Horanadu in Dakshina Kannada - one of the most breath-taking views ever!

Out-of-body experience
While paragliding in Goa, the parachute fell off the Arabian Sea and I almost drowned. Saw myself come back to life, all in a few seconds...

Bazaar bargains
An area called Sowcarpet, North Chennai - one of my favorite places for shopping branded apparel, perfumes and electronics.

Gourmet gaffes
Trying to make a Sardar prepare a Masala Dosa at a small restaurant in Karol Bagh, Delhi!

Street food surprises
Marina Beach, Chennai. The variety and fare is unbeatable.

Goofy traveler moment
Was four hours early to the airport but still missed my flight for the first time ever at Terminal 3, New Delhi.
